On July 11, 2025, the first lesson "The Guide for College Students' Resumein the AI Era" of the "AI Summer Camp" course series was hosted by Daxia College and co-organized by the School of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering. The lecture was delivered by Teacher Feng Qi from the School of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering, hosted by Zhan Song, the Teaching Tutor of Daxia.
At the beginning, Wang Liyv, the vice dean of Daxia College, delivered an opening speech, stating that the course aims to help students improve their digital literacy and use AI to assist in resume writing, etc.
After the opening speech, Feng firstly analyzed the current situation of job hunting in the AI era: the job market is highly competitive, with basic positions decreasing and emerging positions emerging; many graduates use AI to enhance their job-hunting competitiveness but there are differences; college students generally lack experience in resume writing. She emphasized that a high-quality resume needs to be neatly formatted, with key points highlighted and data quantified, covering core sections such as basic information. Internship and practical experience are the focus, which should be described using the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) and results quantified.
In addition, Feng introduced the five-step process of AI-assisted resume writing, and at the same time reminded to be alert to risks such as resume fraud, content homogenization, and privacy leakage. She emphasized that AI cannot replicate personal unique experiences, and it is necessary to maintain critical thinking and use technology to highlight personal characteristics.
