This semester, dedicating myself to working at Daxia College has been both fulfilling and precious. Whether it was the in-depth exploration of growth assessment research, the on-stage experience of hosting activities, or the planning and execution of various projects, each grounded task allowed my knowledge of psychology to collide, integrate, and settle with different disciplines in practice, sparking new vitality. I am deeply grateful to my guiding teacher for their careful cultivation and sincere trust. Their guidance, like a lighthouse, illuminates my path forward. I also profoundly remember the strong support of my fellows, whose warmth and wisdom, like tiny fireflies, gather into the most solid motivation in my heart. The fertile ground of Daxia nourishes my growth, and my mentors and peers empower me. Looking ahead, I wish to continue rooting myself here, transforming what I have learned and thought into the nourishment that sustains Daxia, and work alongside all of you to create a more brilliant chapter in education.

In the short span of one semester of service, I have participated in various tasks in Daxia College, and it has truly been an incredibly enriching journey. Whether it was expanding my knowledge through academic activities in different professional fields, gaining hands-on experience in a variety of events that bridge both ancient and modern, domestic and international contexts, or experiencing the interactions between the university and society both on and off campus, what stands out the most and is also the most precious to me is the connections and friendships made with people. Although we come from different identities, professional backgrounds, and even cultural contexts, we have always maintained curiosity and sincerity toward each other in our interactions. For this, I sincerely thank and deeply appreciate Daxia for creating a platform for communication and opportunities through the second classroom, both for myself and my fellow students at ECNU!

Serving as the Teaching Tutor at Daxia College, responsible for the operation and management of diverse projects, has been a journey full of challenges and rich rewards. I immersed myself in this work with both a learner’s and a practitioner’s mindset. From organizing the “Digital Intelligence Journey” at Huawei’s Lianqiu Lake R&D Center to hosting faculty and students from the Shau Peng College of the University of Macau, I gradually developed a comprehensive skill set in “project preparation, execution review, and outcome consolidation.” These experiences have also deepened my understanding of student-centered course design. Witnessing how course projects ignite students’ passion for exploration and build bridges for their growth has further reinforced my belief in empowering student development through course innovation.

Looking back on the busy service time, from activity design to the on-site execution, challenges have honed my abilities and further strengthened my enthusiasm for this position. I am grateful for the broad platform and precious resources provided by the Daxia College, as well as the strong support and continuous encouragement from the teachers. This has enabled me to give full play to my strengths in coordinating courses such as “Listening to the Qin in Summer Rain Pavilion” and planning intangible cultural heritage--palm-weaving, and turn my ideas into rich experiences. I also thank all the teaching mentors and assistants who have fought side by side with me. The success of each course cannot be achieved without everyone’s concerted cooperation, and this strength of working together is extremely precious for me. May the Daxia College, this garden of innovative education, continue to spread knowledge and culture, and nourish more youthful dreams to grow and bloom.

When I first took over this job, I felt quite anxious. It was the tolerance and guidance from the teachers and partners in the team that helped me gradually find my way. This honor of being a teaching mentor is not only an encouragement but also a motivation. I will continue to take “serving with dedication” as my guideline, strive for excellence in curriculum design, maintain open communication in collaboration, and transform others’ trust into more solid actions. Education is an undertaking where “one tree shakes another tree”. I hope to work in joint to continue creating more possibilities for the students who participate in the activities.

The year of serving as a Teaching Mentor at Daxia College marked a pivotal stage in my personal growth. Every step, from curriculum planning to coordinating between teachers and students, was filled with challenges. When working with students from diverse academic backgrounds, I strived to identify their areas of interest, carefully organized activities, and made every effort to ensure each class was engaging and thought-provoking. During my days of serving at the Daxia College, I truly felt the weight of growth. The work of promoting and publishing posts gave me a more detailed understanding of new media operations, and gradually fostered my sensitivity to the aesthetic quality of visuals. When hosting various events, I learned to deal with different emergencies, which provided tangible practice for my communication skills. Within the Daxia College, everyone always cooperates with tacit understanding and supports each other. This work atmosphere allowed me to not only gain improvement in my abilities, but also find a sense of family-like belonging. In the days ahead, I will continue to hold fast to this passion and shine brightly on the platform!

When I first entered the college, I felt like an explorer holding a brand-new map—excited yet slightly uneasy. After nearly a year of learning and growth, looking back feels like “a light boat sailing past thousands of mountains.” The college’s diverse activities have sharpened my organizational and communication skills, while writing posts, drafting news articles, and creating PPTs have refined my aesthetic sense and ability to express ideas. Step by step, I have grown from a novice into a versatile “all-rounder”. Counting my growth fills me with gratitude: gratitude to the teachers of the college, whose holistic training approach has supported my development; gratitude to my colleagues who fought alongside me; gratitude to the Daxia College, which enabled me to cross boundaries and broaden my horizons.May we continue moving forward with infinite possibilities!

Serving as a teaching tutor at the college has been both an opportunity to strengthen my management and coordination skills and a process of mutual learning and growth through service. In particular, during the long-term program “AI+ Interdisciplinary Creation Camp”, my continuous involvement in course planning and support allowed me to gradually build a comprehensive skill set covering activity release, process management, and promotional outreach. At the same time, I also gained valuable knowledge and skills from the courses themselves, such as AI-assisted literature retrieval, office applications, and intelligent agent development. That is why I want to encourage fellow students: when signing up for the college’s second-class programs, actively take part in course support as well—so you can achieve double the rewards!

I developed stronger teamwork abilities and became more aware of my own areas for improvement. Looking ahead, I will continue to improve myself and contribute more to my peers and the college.

Since 2024, I have served as the teaching tutor for “Daxia Movie Guide”. I feel honored to take part in this program designed for undergraduates. As the saying goes, “teaching benefits both teachers and learners”,through course planning and organization, I gained more opportunities to engage in face-to-face communication with students. Their suggestions and questions encouraged me to reflect on my own learning, research, and teaching practices, offering me valuable perspectives and insights.Participating in this project has provided me with substantial experience for my future involvement in teaching and research. At the same time, I hope that my contributions can also support the future development of Daxiacurriculum in a practical way.

While serving as both a student assistant and a teaching tutor at Daxia College, I experienced the difficulties and challenges of course organization and operation, yet also gained meaningful growth. During this time, the teachers of the college offered careful guidance, leading me with expertise and passion; meanwhile, students’ active participation helped drive the continuous improvement of the courses.Looking ahead, as a student assistant manager and teaching tutor, I will continue to explore proactively and practice actively, injecting vitality into the college’s curriculum development. I firmly believe that through our joint efforts, Daxia College’s course system will become more diverse, helping students discover their interests and unlock their potential.

Deng Qingyve
Undergraduate student of the Faculty of Education, Grade 2023
During my service as a teaching tutor at Daxia College, I actively participated in the planning and implementation of multiple activities. Upholding the principle of “serving peers and improving myself”, I devoted myself wholeheartedly to the work and strived to promote the college’s continuous development. Guided by the college, we teaching tutors conducted surveys to understand students’ needs and closely aligned our efforts with the college’s “once-cultivation” curriculum series, working to fully inspire students’ enthusiasm for participation. Several of our activities even attracted attention from mainstream media outlets such as Xuexi Qiangguo and China News Service. This valuable experience enabled me to make significant progress in teamwork, project management, and student-centered service, while also deepening my understanding of the power of collective effort. Looking ahead, I am committed to transforming the practical experience I gained at the college into action, and I look forward to working hand in hand with fellow course coordinators and course operation officers to further advance the college’s educational mission.
