PART 02
Active Service—— Commendation of Outstanding Achievements
Daxia College has a responsible and proactive student team, including teaching mentors and teaching assistants. The successful holding of each course is inseparable from their efforts and dedication. They are like a well-coordinated band, with each person playing a unique melody in their own position. To commend the outstanding, Zhuang Yu and Pang Weiguo presented certificates of honor to the outstanding candidates of Daxia College. A total of 6 outstanding teaching mentors (Outstanding Contribution Award), 8 outstanding teaching mentors, and 14 outstanding teaching assistants were selected.

In the speech session by the representative of the outstanding teaching mentor of Daxia College, Tang Yifang, a postgraduate student of Grade 2023 from the Faculty of Education, summarized her gains in the college with two key words: "growth" and "gratitude". From the second class to academic situation research, from the intelligent manager of the one-stop student community to the research project of the Zijiang Foundation, she gradually grew into an "all-rounder" with both hard and soft skills and the ability to take charge independently through active service. At the same time, she deeply knew that her growth was inseparable from the cultivation of the college. She expressed her sincere gratitude to the college teachers who carefully nurtured her, the teaching mentors and assistants who fought side by side, and the broad platform provided by the college. Finally, she sincerely wished Daxia College a prosperous future and hoped that every student could gain their own brilliance on the fertile soil of the college.

Yang Yujing, an undergraduate student of Grade 2023 from the Faculty of Education, shared her growth journey in the college with everyone. When she first entered the college, she was a shy and nervous work-study assistant. Through the practice of course operation, she gradually grew into a teaching mentor and a work-study student manager, becoming a responsible and collaborative team manager. She was grateful for the careful guidance of the teachers, whose professionalism and enthusiasm illuminated her path of seeking knowledge; grateful for the active participation of the students, whose feedback and suggestions were the driving force for curriculum optimization; and also grateful for the platform provided by the college, which allowed her to gain growth in organizing and operating courses and fighting side by side with the team. Finally, she wished that Daxia College would have more diverse and rich courses to help students discover their interests and tap their potential, and also hoped that everyone would thrive on the fertile soil of the college and realize their dreams.

In the concluding speech, Dean Pang mentioned that the college is a growth platform that transcends disciplinary boundaries. The growth process of the students also vividly interprets and realizes the college's educational philosophy - broadening horizons through academic and cultural exchanges with students of different majors, deepening professional attainments through interdisciplinary integration, and cultivating leadership through active service. Although colleges and universities at home and abroad have their own characteristics, their educational goals are always the same, which is to continuously explore paths to promote the all-round development of students. Daxia College will also continue to cooperate sincerely with other university-level departments and faculties to push the college construction and student development to a new height.

Combining her own creation and academic research, she led everyone to experience the unique charm and future potential of Chinese sci-fi, and at the same time aroused everyone's attention and thinking about the sci-fi culture and industry. Teachers and students had a lively discussion on topics such as the impact of technological development on the sci-fi industry, the characteristics of sci-fi works, the creation of online sci-fi literature, and the confrontation between "hard sci-fi" and "soft sci-fi" works.
